Morgan Law's new novel

Within days, still badly shaken by what she witnessed, China is caught up in a bitter crossfire between her husband and her best friend. She learns that one or the other is a barefaced liar, or possibly, much worse. Ultimately, she is forced to take sides and choose between the two.

Soon after, chance -- or Fate -- leads China to a secret compound in the Canadian wilderness. There she is introduced to compelling prophecies from many Native American traditions that point to an imminent global disaster. From then on, the specter of apocalypse weighs ever more heavily on her mind.

As China confronts urgent, agonizing decisions about her own future, she finds herself plagued with doubt. Is she suffering from an overactive imagination, or are many or the ancient prophecies actually being fulfilled in her lifetime? Exactly how much faith does she have in the signs and portents? Does she accept the reality of apocalypse enough to give up her privileged suburban existence? And is her trust in the prophecies her own, or is her reason clouded by mounting passion for a man who is a true believer?

If the prophecies are true, time is running out for China. Very soon, Mother Earth may unleash her full fury upon humanity.
